We found Earth Interior by chance, really. We just landed our dream house, and the next step was to turn it into a dream home.
There were so many ID options out there, and being the kiasu Singaporean I am, I contacted each one that caught my fancy. Plenty got back to me, and we met them all.
On the day we met Axel (he was the last one we met), he really impressed us with his proposed design.
We had met other IDs, and though they managed to produce wonderful designs, none quite managed to blend practicality with design as well as Axel.
It was a difficult choice, but his proposal by far managed to capture the essence of what we wanted in our house.
With his experience, he was able to propose practical designs that made our day-to-day home maintenance easy without compromising on design.
As working adults, we wanted a fuss-free home that looked elegant!
Axel's proposal gave us a wonderful home design with bold colours for our walls and a rustic but sleek kitchen area. The warm lights lend a cosy feel to the house.
We weren't too picky with the home design and pretty much let Axel go wild. Some of his proposed designs were not something we realised we needed, and it really helped that he anticipated them and proposed them to us.
Some examples include his proposed tiles for the toilets. Going with rougher tiles gave us a better grip and made it less likely to slip.
He also proposed a drawer directly under the kitchen sink to utilise the space, and another practical proposal was to have a table top above our washing machine to give us space to fold our laundry.
The space next to the pipes in the kitchen was also converted to storage space.
We really appreciate his eye for design and his honest opinions on what works and what doesn't.
The quality of the workmanship was a little touch-and-go. Some parts were really well made, but there were also some parts that needed quite a bit of rework.
But through it all, Axel was patient with our requests and arranged for the rectification works to be done. He was also on-site to ensure the rectification works were done properly.
We've been living in our dream home for 2.5 months now, and we always feel happy when we step into our house. Axel's vision gave us a home we can be proud of.

This is our second time engaging the services of Earth Interior Design to renovate our home. We had a positive experience from our previous home makeover journey and decided to engage the services of Edwin to design our new home again. From the early beginnings of Earth Interior Design, we have seen the immense growth of the company till date. Their service and attention to customer needs remain top-notch. I am grateful to Edwin and his team for delivering the completed project within 8 working days! Kudos to Edwin and his team!
This review is long overdue lol! I think we first came to know Edwin about 10 years ago when we wanted to do some renovation works in our apartment. He impressed us as someone who’s friendly, has drive, and good design sense. Unfortunately, we didn’t engage him as a close friend recommended another ID… that’s our regret. So when we got our next apartment, we decided to get in touch with Edwin again. He did a wonderful job renovating our resale 20-year-old apartment! The apartment is designed according to our needs, making it cosy and comfortable. It’s been 5 years, and whenever we have any issues with the house, Edwin is always within reach – great after-sales service! His team also did a great job doing up my mother-in-law’s place! Thanks Edwin and his team!
We are glad to have engaged Jenson to do up our first big project! Jenson gave us a lot of constructive input during the planning of our renovation. The end product turned out to be exactly how we visualised our dream house to be, and we are so happy with the result! Compared to a lot of IDs that we spoke to, the quotation Jenson provided was the most reasonable, and he really tried his best to work within the budget we gave him. Along the way, when there was a hiccup, Jenson took responsibility for it and resolved the issue for us. We are really appreciative of all his work in helping us realize our dream home!
